My name is Wesley Brough a.k.a. (Cabosurfcaster). My family moved to Mexico and ventured down the Baja as missionaries almost 40 years ago. I grew up in Cabo San Lucas back before it was a major tourist destination and the population was around 10,000. Now it has grown to around 400K.

I started fishing off the beach with my dad and younger brother when I was around 4 years old. We did lots of Spearfishing growing up, but the love of surf fishing drew me in even more until I ended up starting to guide when I was 16. At the same time I was pursuing a career as a musician, playing instrumental guitar at some of the high end resorts and for weddings and events. I eventually recorded an album of my own original instrumental pieces that made it to iTunes and Spotify. But the pull of being on the beach was even stronger than ever, so I gave up chasing the musician's path and went into guiding full time. I have now been guiding for almost 20 years now and have been fortunate enough to meet all kinds of people from all over the world. I’ve been able to fish in a few places around the US as well as Australia and Colombia. I hold the IGFA All-tackle World Record for Pacific White Snook. And have guided for award winning NBC Sports TV show, Fish the Baja.

I’ve lived in Chicago, San Diego, and Maui, where I met my wife Leslie. We’ve been married for 12 exciting years now and have 2 girls Atlyn and Lydia (6 & 8) who are tons of fun and tons of work! (In that order.

Most mornings (except Sundays) you can find me chasing Roosterfish down the beach or trying to film and create cool videos that capture some of the scenes that get us most excited as fishermen, and share them in a creative, artistic way.. I am blessed to do what I love for a living and share everything I love about it with so many people!
